My family loves Banana Bread – and one of our newest obsessions is Caramel Apple Banana Bread!
With a super-moist texture, buttery caramel and banana flavor, tender bits of cinnamon & sugar apple pieces, an incredibly soft crumb, and topped with a silky Cream Cheese Caramel Frosting, this is banana bread perfection! For a sweet twist, substitute salted caramel sauce for the caramel sauce – SO GOOD!
Cider Pulled Pork with Apple Butter Barbecue Sauce is always a favorite! Cider and other wonderful spices make for a taste that is perfectly complimented by homemade Apple Butter Barbecue Sauce. Perfect for a crowd!
Lucky us that summer has decided to bless us with yet another wonderful sunny weekend. We're in the middle of a major landscaping makeover, trying to replace the four trees that came down on our house during major storm last November. It seems like the perfect time to reconfigure everything and plant all kinds of wonderful trees, shrubs and flowering bushes so that they will be all ready to take off in the spring. All those helpers are going to want some seriously good food during the weekend, so it's the perfect time to make one of our favorites!
This homemade Honeycrisp Apple Pie Granola is filled with crispy clusters and flavored with warm notes of cinnamon, hints of apple pie spice, sweet pecan pieces and a sprinkling of dried apple chips. This easy autumn granola is delicious and perfect for breakfast, yogurt parfaits, and snacking!

I'm going to let you in on a little holiday tradition - one that is always on our table for Christmas dinner, and usually the New Year too! Glazed Apples & Cranberries are perfect with your holiday ham or pork tenderloin.
So quick and simple to make, when this is baking alongside your Holiday Ham, the aroma wafting around the house is out-of-this-world! And the tender sweet apple slices? So good that everyone will be gobbling them up fast!
At our home, the surest way to get everyone rolling out of bed early at the morning is to bake up a batch of these little lovelies! Everyone goes crazy when I make these mini Cinnamon Sugar Applesauce Muffins - and what's not to love? Simple and tender applesauce muffins with a buttery, cinnamon & sugar topping that are just made for munching - or popping in your mouth warm from the oven!
And these go so fast, that if you don't run when them come out of the oven, they will be all gone! The best part is that your kitchen will smell just like a bakery...cinnamon, sugar and apples...what could be better?
September...finally the best season of the year is here again! Warm autumn days and crisp evenings, trees changing color every day. Bonfires, hayrides, and one of our family favorites - many trips to the local apple orchards. We loved doing it with our parents when we were young, taking our kids when they were little, and it's wonderful seeing our grandkids sharing the same adventures and memories!
We have so many favorite orchards in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and now Ohio!
September has always been the month for baking and cooking with fresh, just-picked apples - sweet, tart, green, golden and ruby red - in so many varieties and in any shape and size!
Truth be told, I love apples more than pumpkins for baking. Which is your favorite?
I'll be sharing some of our favorite family apple recipes with you throughout the month. Both sweet and savory apple recipes that will tickle your taste buds and make you smile! It's almost impossible to pick the best of the bunch, so take my lead and try them all!
