 Maple Banana & Walnut Coffee Cake With a name like "Snowflakes & Coffeecakes", you probably have a pretty good idea where this idea came from! If ever there was perfection in a coffee cake, we have found it! My family goes absolutely nuts for banana bread. Whenever I have a bag full of ripe bananas, it's always a serious discussion about whether to make traditional Banana Bread, Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Banana Bread, or do something wild like Banana Bars or Banana Cake.
But this Maple Banana & Walnut Coffee Cake? It leaves all of the rest of them as a distant memory. Beyond words, this tender coffee cake is perfectly wonderful!

With a super-moist texture, buttery banana flavor, and incredibly soft crumb, this is our family-favorite banana bread recipe. Most folks have problems because they have too many over-ripe bananas - around here, it's just the opposite - we never have enough! From the time my kids were little, right after they learned to mix muffins, they immediately graduated to helping make Banana Bread. The fresh blueberries have been UNBELIEVABLY big and sweet this season - don't know if it is the warmer winter or what, but we've had a bumper crop of fabulous berries to work with, and I'm taking advantage of every opportunity! And there's nothing better than a plateful of thick and warm Fresh Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes - just busting with fresh blueberries!  Peach Bellini Ahhhh sweet fresh peaches, nectar from heaven!
