When I first started putting together a Valentine Breakfast Board, I was thinking about my little ones…but it turned out to be a huge hit with EVERYONE. There’s no way better to start the day than with all your breakfast favorites heart-shaped and fresh from the griddle! Savory meats on the side, warm muffins and pastries, and lots of fresh fruit kick of a relaxing and wonderful day! Nothing is more easy, fun and relaxing than a sweet Valentine Breakfast Board with your Valentines!

The best thing about a Valentine's Day Breakfast Board is that it is so customizable! Make it small, make it large - and make it easy on yourself! Start with your favorite pancakes and waffles, in fun heart shapes, baked up on a hot griddle and waiting in a warm oven until it's time to serve. Banana bread and muffins can be baked the day before and ready to serve.

Breakfast meats can also be made ahead of time and kept warm. Pick up your favorite bagels and pastries from your local market and it's one less thing to worry about in the morning. Fresh fruit can be washed and chilling ahead of time as well.

If you have guests coming, ask them to bring the bubbly or heart-shaped donuts. The more the merrier!

For a special breakfast just with our little ones, I may only make heart-shaped buttermilk pancakes or waffles, adding individual cups of fresh fruit yogurt, a valentine-shaped pastry, and lots of fresh fruit. Simple and easy!

For a larger group, the sky is the limit! Add as many more platters or serving dishes as you need. Coffee is always on, and a selection of tea is always nice. Fresh orange juice and grapefruit juice are chilling in the fridge, along with some pink champagne for a festive Valentine Mimosa - just add some fresh berries to each glass!

It’s easy to add Caramelized Bacon and Maple Sausage on the side for your meat-lovers as well. You may want to tuck in some heart-shaped donuts and pastries, whatever YOU love!

For my Valentine Breakfast Board, I used a loving mix of some of our favorite homemade breakfast items baked into heart shapes. Tons of fresh berries around the outside add a “lacy” edge that is so pretty!

Mix and match your favorites for something wonderful and unique every time – whether you’re making it for your little ones, or a special Valentine breakfast! Hot coffee and tea, and a bottle or two of pink champagne for mimosas and we’re ready to brunch!

Whipped Butter
Warm Maple Syrup
Warm Raspberry or Berry Syrup
Single serving containers of Strawberry, Banana, Blueberry, Raspberry & Vanilla Yogurt
Honey Walnut Cream Cheese
Sweetened Whipped Cream
Your favorite Fruit Dip

BEVERAGES:

Fresh Orange Juice & Grapefruit Juice
Milk or Chocolate Milk for the little ones!
Coffee & Assorted Creamers
Tea Selection
Pink Champagne or non-alcoholic bubbly fruit juice

HOW I MAKE THIS:

Choose a nice solid cutting board or wooden serving tray to create your platter – for a breakfast board, you’ll need a pretty good-sized board, or use multiple platters.
Wash and pat any fresh fruit that you will be using.
Flip those pancakes & waffles, prepare and keep warm in a 200 degree oven until ready to serve.
Prepare breakfast meats and keep them warm until ready to serve on the side.
Assemble your favorites and place on serving board, starting with a heart-shaped dishes or bowls that will hold cream cheese or fruit dip.
For a party, add small tongs and serving pieces next to the board along with plates and festive napkins.
You can easily refresh your platter as time goes by!
