Wowza. It's always been hard to decide on our favorite holiday ham, but the contest has been won - Apricot Raspberry Glazed Ham is always a crowd-favorite!

This family-favorite holiday ham is a perfect combination of sweet and savory. Apricot and Raspberry preserves, mixed with spicy Dijon mustard and a touch of brown sugar create the absolute best glaze I have ever made! We enjoyed this so much at Christmas that I had numerous requests to make again for our New Year's dinner, and Easter, and special birthday dinners!

And it doesn't get any easier to make! Combine the glaze ingredients, spread on top of the baking ham at 20 minute intervals, and you will have the thickest, most delicious glaze ever! I start with a cup of fresh apple cider with the ham, and the combination of sweet and savory will knock your socks off!

My gang is pretty much split between a spiral honey-baked ham and a more traditional cottage-style ham, but this glaze works perfectly on both! My personal opinion is that a spiral ham dries out more when you are warming it up, and my family just isn't too crazy about cold ham, so this is a wonderful option!

They were scraping the bottom of the serving platter and pan for more glaze - and licking their fingers!

APRICOT RASPBERRY GLAZED HAM

This family-favorite Apricot Raspberry Glazed Ham is a perfect combination of sweet and savory! I always serve extra glaze on the side – the flavor is so wonderful that you will want to drizzle a little extra on top of your ham during dinner, or serve on ham sandwiches the next day!

Apricot Raspberry Glazed Ham

INGREDIENTS:
10 lbs. spiral cut ham or 4-6 lbs. smoked ham (without bone)
1 cup fresh apple cider
1/2 cup raspberry preserves
½ cup apricot preserves
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup Dijon mustard

HOW WE MAKE THIS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Remove ham from packaging and place in roaster, score top of ham; pour fresh apple cider on bottom of pan.
Combine all other ingredients in a small bowl. Spread 1/3 over top of ham and cover with foil. Bake for 20 minutes; remove from oven and spread an additional 1/3 glaze over top. Bake for an additional 20 minutes, spread remaining 1/3 glaze over top. Return to oven and bake for a final 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and cover with foil. Let ham sit in juices for 10 minutes before removing from pan and slicing.
Pour hot glaze from pan over ham and serve warm.

YIELD: 10-16 servings
