This sweet little Shamrock Charcuterie Board, filled with all of your favorite Irish cheeses & meats, fresh fruits, green nibbles and a few sweet treats is perfect to share with someone special! The perfect size for two, all you’ll need is some chilled Irish beer or a glass of your favorite wine. Irish eyes are smiling! On those rare occasions when Skipper and I find ourselves alone, we try to make the most of it! Whether it's a walk and a picnic, a quiet weekend in a cabin in the woods, or a peaceful night at home, a small charcuterie board is one of our favorite things to make and enjoy together. There usually are plenty of things to pick from the fridge or pantry to build something simple and good. And I usually have a few special treats that I've tucked away to add a surprise or two! The greatest thing about charcuterie boards is that they are perfect for a party of two - or a party of twenty! I found this cute little bamboo shamrock board, which works perfectly for my Shamrock Charcuterie Board for Two. You can use any small board or tray to create your own masterpiece. Keep it simple, keep it fresh, and keep it fun!
INGREDIENTS:
The secret of a great charcuterie board is to find fresh flavors and textures that work for you and your family and friends. Mix and match your favorite cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts and condiments for something wonderful and unique every time! For a great Shamrock Charcuterie Board, these are my recommendations – pick and choose your favorites! CHEESE: Soft and creamy or firm and aged, flavorful Irish favorites are also fun
MEAT: Sliced corned beef is always perfect on a small board, add ham pieces or glazed bacon for something different:
SPREADABLES: For something different, include a small bowl of one of these on the side:
NUTS & CHOCOLATES: Something simple and roasted, spicy or sweet – the perfect trifecta of your favorite Irish sweet treats:
FRUITS & VEGETABLES: Seasonal green fruit and traditional vegies, both fresh and dried, gives you a nice balance and a burst of color:
CRACKERS & BREAD: If you don’t space on your platter, add to a basket on the side: .
FAVORITE IRISH BEERS & WINES: Pick a few pints of your favorites - there is no shortage of wonderful Irish beer! Guinness, Harp Lager, Killian’s Irish Red, Conway’s Irish Ale – or perhaps an Irish Whiskey is more your thing! HOW I MAKE THIS:
