WOWSER! We have a huge hit this summer! I made a quadruple batch of my Honey Sriracha Orange Barbeque Marinade, Glaze & Sauce earlier this week, and my family has absolutely devoured this! It is gone...all gone! I usually make my barbeque glazes and sauces in double batches for summer grilling, but this new treat has taken on a life of its own and they are craving and eating it like CRAZY! For three days in a row, they have enjoyed the most delicious glazed chicken ever - we've had it roasted, we've had it grilled, we've had it ka-bobbed, rolled into sandwich wraps, and sliced and put on top of fresh garden salads. To say that it is to die for is a huge understatement! The only difference in this sauce from what I've made in the past is the addition of Asian Style Sriracha Seasoning - the perfectly balanced spices have taken this sauce to a new level. Fresh orange juice and fresh lemon juice are combined with pure, sweet honey and orange marmalade as a base. Brown sugar, hoisin sauce and soy sauce add the next layer of flavor. And for the best part...Asian Style Sriracha Seasoning adds the perfect blend of spices to take this to the final level! You can taste and smell hints of sriracha, Asian hot red chili sauce, garlic, ginger and onion. But the best part is always in how this tastes. It starts out sweet, but warms up with a savory kick! We've cooked, roasted and grilled this up so many ways, and each time it is a delicious treat! For moister chicken (especially wonderful if you are using in sandwiches or salads), I usually roast in the oven, basting the sauce over the chicken the last 15 minutes of baking. On the grill, you'll get a thicker and stickier sauce - finger-licking-good! And feel free to use your favorite chicken pieces - tender breasts, thighs or drumsticks are all wonderful! Served in a sandwich wrap, in a fresh garden salad, or with our favorite side dishes - rice and sugar snap peas, this is just so tender, delicious and flavorful. You'll see why the kiddos keep asking me to make more - and why they keep trying to hide a secret stash somewhere secret in the refrigerator for lunches!
