These delicious ribs are done Kansas City barbecue style - very similar to my favorite ribs from Oklahoma Joe's Barbeque and Catering (Kansas City, KS).
Good ribs take a long time to cook at low heat to get a tender, pull-off the bone experience, but these are well worth the wait!
I usually make my homemade Barbeque Sauce to go along with these, which can be made ahead of time. Summer yum!
WHAT ARE THE BEST KINDS OF RIBS?
3 to 4 cups wood chips (cherry or apple)
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
4 tablespoon light brown sugar (packed)
2 tablespoons Hungarian paprika
2 tablespoons Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
1½ teaspoons chili powder
1½ teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper
3 to 4 pounds pork loin back ribs or spareribs
1 cup Barbeque Sauce (your favorite recipe) – for Slathering
1 cup Barbeque Sauce – extra heated up for serving
