 Warm Bacon & Cheese Dip Now that September is here, we start to move from sailing activities and back to dry land - and football party season kicks off! One of our favorite cold dips is Loaded Baked Potato Dip, and this melted and bubbling warm version is even more delicious! I have to say that I take a certain amount of satisfaction when everyone stands around this warm and cheesy dip and proclaims that it is the BEST dip they have ever had! We do take our appetizer parties very seriously around here - and this is a serious crowd pleaser!  Warm Bacon & Cheese Dip After the bacon is fried and crumbled, the ingredients for this go together in a matter of minutes. Mix 'em up, load up your casserole dish or small crock pot, and you will be enjoying a fabulous hot dip that is sure to become one of your favorites too.  Warm Bacon & Cheese Dip The combination of cream cheese, sour cream, onion & chive cream cheese and cheddar cheese make for a creamy warm cheese dip that isn't greasy and doesn't separate when it cooks. You can use either regular bacon or turkey bacon - the more, the better! Stir in some sliced scallions or green onions for flavor and you'll be enjoying all of your favorite "loaded potatoes" toppings in no time. Come to think of it - a large dollop of this on a baked potato would be mighty fine as well! For game day, we serve this with thick rippled potato chips, pita chips, baguette slices, and a selection of fresh vegetables for dipping. Hope that your family enjoys this as much as we do!
