 Twisted Mac & Cheese Boy, that sure got your attention! And what exactly is TWISTED Mac & Cheese? This is my "twist" on Chrissy Teigen's Baked Macaroni & Cheese recipe. Hers is pretty darn good, but mine is better! Three kinds of creamy cheese goodness, tender noodles, and the most flavorful savory and cheesy crumb topping that you've ever had. And that's really what sets this recipe apart from all the others! Like most of us, I have an arsenal of macaroni & cheese recipes, and it's amazing that each of my kiddos seems to have a different "favorite" - but this is one of our all time favorites!  Twisted Macaroni & Cheese Cheddar cheese, Swiss or Gruyere cheese, American cheese....just to start us off! Always shred the cheese fresh and from a block of cheese! The packaged pre-shredded cheese you can pick up are loaded up with preservatives and additives to keep the cheese shreds from sticking together - and they will prevent you from cooking a smooth and creamy sauce. I toast up Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls to use as the crumb base - this is my secret weapon in the casserole crumb war. Add some fresh grated Parmesan cheese to the garlic and buttery crumb topping, and we're in cheese heaven! A hearty layer on top and we're talking buttery, cheesy, crunchy crumb topping in every tender and creamy bite!  Twisted Mac & Cheese (Chrissy Teigen Recipe Challenge) Fabulous served alongside a sliced honey ham, or with chicken for dinner - perfect for holidays, potlucks or dinner parties. Young or old, picky or not-so-picky eaters...I haven't ever met anyone that didn't LOVE some mac & cheese - and everyone sure loves this version! And if you're feeling extra-adventurous, you can add some diced ham or crisp bacon bits to the mix. YUM!  Twisted Mac & Cheese
