Yes, I am that crazy lady that you see in the grocery store, buying all of the beautifully ripe and sugar-spotted bananas...
Whether I'm using them to make one of our favorite banana bread recipes or for our family favorite Banana Bars, it is always a happy baking day!
Whenever I add fresh fruit to bread, I try to bake smaller loaves. You can make one large 9x5 loaf, four smaller 3x5 loaves, or 10 incredibly cute miniature loaves.
To give them a little something extra, you can sprinkle with some sparking sugar on top - but these are so sweetly delicious all on their own that you don't need to.
I found some incredibly cute individual baking boxes at Target, and baked up a batch or two of these for the kids to share with their friends. HUGE hit!
A selection of our favorite banana breads - simple Banana Bread, Chocolate Chip Banana Bread and Strawberry Banana Bread makes for a great hostess gift or treat to share.
And call me crazy, but can you even imagine how wonderful this Strawberry Banana Bread is sliced and served with fresh sweetened whipped cream and fresh strawberries? YES - our own family version of strawberry shortcake, taken up ten notches on the WOW factor.
