MAMA V IS FEELING GOLDEN TODAY and I'M SO EXCITED TO FINALLY SHARE THE WONDERFUL NEWS WITH YOU! I have been asked to join RODELLE KITCHEN as a new Brand Ambassador! Those of you that have enjoyed my recipes and cooking school sessions know that I've been the biggest fan of Rodelle products for years. Rodelle is famous for the highest quality pure vanilla, gourmet cocoa and gourmet spices in the market, and this collaboration is something that I have dreamed about!
And these Golden Caramel Cupcakes with Salted Caramel Buttercream are something you'll be dreaming about too! As I put together batch after batch of these, everyone agrees that these are some of the most delicious and beautiful cupcakes you'll ever eat!
And about Rodelle...you will LOVE the quality of these products as much as I do! This Rodelle Reserve Pure Vanilla Extract is an artesian small-batch vanilla, French Oak Aged and truly a limited edition...only 1600 special bottles are available, and each contains a whole gourmet vanilla bean to add even more flavor! When I opened my first bottle I thought I had died and gone to vanilla heaven - it is truly unlike anything you've ever used before.
There really is such a difference when you use QUALITY products in your home cooking and baking - I stress this over and over again in all my classes. Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa is European Dutch-processed for rich flavor and appearance, and contains one of the highest levels of cocoa butter on the market, with superior dark chocolate flavor. While I love using fresh vanilla beans, they are getting very expensive and hard to find. Rodelle Vanilla Paste has a deep, rich and sweet taste of Madagascar vanilla beans, without the pod - so easy to use, and I just love the flecks of vanilla bean seeds in my recipes...it really adds something special! And rounding out my top four favorites is Rodelle Organic Ceylon Cinnamon - naturally sweeter and more delicate than other varieties of cinnamon, but just BURSTING with cinnamon flavor and it smells SO WONDERFUL!
Such a golden giveaway! I'm adding gold shimmering cupcake wrappers, oodles of golden sugar pearls, golden edible glitter stars, golden pearlized sugar and gold shimmer dust, topped with some tall gold birthday candles - and you'll be celebrating with me! And while you're waiting to hear if you are the lucky winner, make sure you visit Rodelle to see the other wonderful gourmet spices, vanilla and cocoa products that they have available!
And now let's get on to these cupcakes! If you've ever searched for the PERFECT rich and buttery caramel cupcake, this one is calling your name! Quality ingredients make a difference - fresh butter, dairy-fresh eggs and buttermilk get us started, but the real caramel flavor comes from dark brown sugar and Rodelle Pure Vanilla - I have used both Rodelle Pure Vanilla Extract and Rodelle Vanilla Paste, and they are equally lovely in these tender and moist cupcakes!
If you love muffin-tops, I can't begin to tell you how tempting it is to pull the top off of these cupcakes and just eat them plain...and they are simply wonderful all by themselves, if you like your cupcakes plain and simple! Buttery, brown-sugar, rich caramel flavor - it's just waiting for you to take a bite...
You're getting a golden recipe bonanza here today - my Salted Caramel Buttercream Frosting has a secret ingredient - homemade Salted Caramel Sauce, and I've included two of my favorite caramel sauce recipes for you to enjoy. Either one will work in this recipe. I often refer to my Salted Caramel Sauce as "Caramel Silk in a Jar" - and it is just that! Creamy, rich and smooth caramel sauce that is to die for! If you have a little less time for stirring, you can also use my Microwave Salted Caramel Sauce recipe, and you'll be enjoying the easiest, most delicious caramel sauce you've ever had - in less than 10 minutes!
Not only are these delicious homemade Salted Caramel Sauces the perfect base for my Salted Caramel Buttercream Frosting, but they are also perfect on ice cream, drizzled over apple pie or apple crisp, slathered over some dark chocolate brownies, or for dipping apple slices. SO GOOD!
Now that your wonderful Caramel Cupcakes have cooled, it's time to top them with some of the fluffiest, creamiest Salted Caramel Buttercream Frosting! With the tiniest golden hue, this buttercream is the perfect crown for these cupcakes. Topped with lots and lots of golden sprinkles - because you can never have too much caramel, too many sprinkles or too much fun!
Let me know what you think about these delightful cupcakes when you have a chance to bake them! Thanks for sharing my good news, and good luck to you all!
