The Fourth of July is a holiday filled with so many memories and emotions!  And family favorites! 

​This is one of those simple recipes that we've been making for generations now, I think, and every time I put one of these on the table, EVERYONE gets excited!  Sometimes simple is the best, and this easy recipe is always a crowd pleaser!

​I've included both the quick cookie recipe and the homemade "from scratch" cookie recipe - they are both delicious!  And fresh fruit......aaaghhhhh.....you can go crazy with fruit - as little or as much as you would like!  And even the little ones will want to help make this - and sneak fresh fruit while they are helping you out!

Sprinkles should be mandatory, don't you think?

For the Fourth of July and other patriotic holidays, it's easy to stick with a red, white and blue color scheme - all of the fresh summer berries are wonderful right now!

If you are making for a party or special event, you can also use sliced kiwi, bananas, mandarin orange segments, sliced melon - even star fruit if you'd like. 

​If you won't be serving right away, you can glaze the fresh fruit with an apricot jam glaze, or serve right away with no glaze.  See how easy this is?
