CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING & GANACHE and FRESH RASPBERRIES
There really aren't words to describe how wonderfully moist, fudgy and fresh this beauty tastes...pictures may be worth a million words, but one taste and you'll be in heaven!
This is the kind of chocolate cake that dreams are made of - and my favorite recipe! Moist, flavorful chocolate cake, covered with creamy chocolate buttercream frosting, drizzled with a decadent dark chocolate ganache and then topped with fresh raspberries.
With all of my chocolate lovers, this is a favorite for birthday celebrations! Could anything be more beautiful or delicious?
My favorite candy is Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Squares with Raspberry Filling, and I was determined to try and create a special layer cake that would duplicate that wonderful flavor combination.
This cake is moist, dense and very rich. Dark chocolate and raspberries just seem to be made for each other. The delicate flavor of the fruit is pulled into the truffle-like center, and beautiful fresh berries and dark chocolate curls garnish the top as well.
