Santa's not the only one making a list this year! And I'm so excited to share the first of three fabulous recipes that I'll be creating for Rodelle Kitchen to share their month long holiday cookie celebration Cookies By The Dozens - the best of 2017 holiday cookies! You'll want to check back daily to make sure that you see and discover all of the wonderful recipes that the Rodelle Brand Ambassadors are sharing this year! We love chewy sugar cookies, but my family LOVES these chewy Chocolate Sugar Cookies even more - and when frosted with Dark Chocolate Buttercream Frosting and sprinkled with holiday sprinkles? These are MAGICAL! These are always the first cookies to disappear from cookie trays, and I'll be baking many delicious batches this Christmas season. When you want quality baked goods, you've got to start with quality products - and I'm so excited to share with you that Rodelle Pure Vanilla Extract was just named Best Vanilla Extract in the Real Simple December 2017 edition - "with it's sweet aroma, dark color and lack of added sugars, this pure vanilla extract is as real as they come." Believe me, over the years I've tried so many vanilla products, but this my favorite brand by far - the best of the best! I practice what I preach, and it really does make a difference in the quality of your cookies, cakes and other treats when you use the freshest and best ingredients that you can. With the skyrocketing cost of vanilla beans and cocoa beans, you really need to be careful in how your spend your ingredient dollars. There isn't a bakery cookie out there that even comes close to how wonderfully fresh, chewy and chocolate-loaded these cookies are. So simple to make, you'll have the cookie dough chilling in less than 15 minutes - start to finish. No muss and no fuss - no rolling pin or cookie cutters required! A quick chill in the fridge, roll the dough into balls, roll in granulated sugar and place them on baking sheets. And the fun begins when my little ones help "press" the dough lightly with their little hands. They love helping with baking and they love seeing their little hand prints on these cookies before they go in the oven. Frosted with the best Dark Chocolate Buttercream Frosting - twirled and swirled to your hearts content, and then let the sprinkling begin! Don't you just love holiday sprinkles on sugar cookies? This family-favorite cookie recipe uses three different Rodelle products - Rodelle Pure Vanilla Extract, Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa, and Rodelle Chocolate Extract. RODELLE HOLIDAY GIVEAWAYRodelle has graciously offered to gift one of my readers a wonderful selection of Rodelle products to celebrate the holiday baking season - Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa, Rodelle Reserve Pure Vanilla Extract, Rodelle Vanilla Paste, Rodelle Vanilla Beans, Rodelle Chocolate Extract and Rodelle Organic Ceylon Cinnamon. I'm also going to be adding some of my favorite Sweetapolita holiday sprinkles (Jolly Holiday Twinkle Sprinkle Medley, Merry Merry Sprinkle Medley, and Frosted Twinkle Sprinkle Medley) and a Frazier Fir Candle to the prize basket. So much fun, and you'll have everything you need to make these wonderful Chocolate Sugar Cookies with Dark Chocolate Buttercream for the holidays! And your house is going to smell SO FABULOUS! To enter, leave a message below telling me your favorite holiday cookies or treats. I'll be selecting one lucky winner at random (see fine print below). THE DEADLINE FOR THIS RODELLE GIVEAWAY IS DECEMBER 6TH - so don't forget to enter soon! You can just see and smell the fresh vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon and ginger in so many of our favorite holiday cookies - White Chocolate & Peppermint Chocolate Sugar Cookies, Peanut Butter Cup Cookies, Peppermint Meltaway Cookies, Big Soft Ginger Christmas Cookies, Double Chocolate Brownie Crinkle Cookies, and Peppermint Bark Brownie Bites...I hardly know where to start baking! We have so many Christmas Favorites that it's hard to choose! I made a double batch of these delicious and chewy Chocolate Sugar Cookies with Dark Chocolate Buttercream...and they were gone within a day. This truly is one of the best recipes we've ever shared...and I hope that you, your family and friends will love these as much as we do! Happy Holiday Baking - and let the games begin! With love to you all, Mama V RODELLE HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY FINE PRINT: This giveaway runs now through 12 am, Wednesday, December 6. Ever since high school, I’ve always like brownies more than cake or cookies - but this looks like a combination between fudgy brownies and chewy chocolate cookies. These look like something I’ll have to try. Thank you for sharing.

You have the best recipes and this one has to be one of the most chocolatey. I'm on my way to the kitchen to make these after dinner is the oven. Dinner has to come first or we will be eating these cookies as the main course! Chocolate chip cookies are the favorite for me and my gang!

I made these AMAZING cookies late yesterday. I haven’t frosted them yet (it’s late here on the East coast and I ran out of energy) and they are already some of the most delicious cookies I’ve ever had and definitely that I’ve ever made! These are definitely going in my recipe book and on my list of favorite holiday treats. Thank you for another great recipe (just another recipe of yours I’ve tried and love).

Kolaches are my favorite but take so long to make. I made these cookies for a fundraising brunch this weekend…every one of them sold! I ended up making them with a smaller scoop and then sandwiching the frosting between the 2 cookies and rolling the edges in sprinkles. DELICIOUS and super festive! Thanks for a wonderful recipe that is sure become a holiday favorite!
