Chocolate Chip Buttermilk Pancakes

It's funny how some things take you right back to your childhood! This morning I thought I'd flip up some of my kiddos favorites for breakfast - Chocolate Chip Buttermilk Pancakes.

They came running faster than they do for a fire drill! And a double batch later, their tummies were happy and they were on their way to start their day. I've never kept track of how often we make these, but when I tell you it's at least every other week or so, it's no exaggeration!

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Warm, fluffy, puffy and perfect'! With a little butter melting down on the top and warm maple syrup dribbling over the edge - we've got buttermilk pancake perfection working for us here!

I was feeling a little bit guilty because I was late getting home last night and had running around to do with the kiddos, so it was a leftover night for us. A warm and fresh breakfast this morning, with a glass of icy cold orange juice, and I think they'll forgive me!

And whether we're camping, boating, celebrating a special breakfast or just enjoying a quiet and sunny lazy morning, these old-fashioned Chocolate Chip Buttermilk Pancakes will bring a smile to your face too!
