 Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Why mess with perfection? I'm sure some of you wonder why you would change ANYTHING about the world's best Banana Bread, but if it involved adding some delicious mini-chocolate chips, could I change your mind? Whenever I'm making Banana Bread, one of the kiddos will ALWAYS ask me if I'm going to make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread too? Kinda the same conversation we have whenever I make their favorite homemade Buttermilk Pancakes. So over the years it has just gotten to be standard operating procedure that I make one batch of plain and simple Banana Bread, and one batch of Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. It keeps the natives from getting restless! And because it's one of my personal favorites, who am I to argue with them?  Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips This is my standard go-to recipe, studded with mini dark chocolate chips, tried and true, tender, flavor and super moist! It is perfection in banana bread... Whenever I make these to gift to others or share at a cookie exchange or coffee party, everyone always wants the recipe. And now you've got it as well, so when I'm old and forgetful, at least I know that you'll bring me a loaf of wonderful homemade Chocolate Chip Banana Bread to enjoy with you!  Chocolate Chip Banana Bread My Mom used to make this every year for Christmas morning - but she added red maraschino cherries to the batter before she baked the delicious loaves. This make for a beautiful and tasty banana bread as well - so feel free to improvise! The recipe is so adaptable and bakes up well in a single large loaf (9x5-inch pan size), or smaller loaves (3x5-inch pan size or mini-loaf size). The kids would go on strike if I only made this once a year - I think we are whipping up batches of fresh banana bread, in one form or another, at least every couple of weeks. These also freeze well if you want to make them in advance. Hope that you enjoy our family favorite recipe as much as we do!
