It's PI DAY! And this year I'm gonna shake it up a little bit! I usually make one of our favorite bakery pies, or even pizza pie, on such a special day, but this year I wanted to try something different. And I'm not going to tell a lie - these bakery-style Cherry Pie Bars are wicked good! The sweet pie crust tastes exactly like a cherry slab pie - only better! Tender and flavorful, a flaky buttery vanilla & almond infused crust is topped with a thick layer of sweet red cherries. A light crumble sprinkled over the top, and these are seriously good. And the house smells so good while these are baking! To take these to the next level, you can either pour or drizzle a sweet little glaze over the top. So pretty, and it adds just the right amount of sweetness and shine to these wonderful bars. These are wonderful at room temperature, but we prefer them chilled. Let me know what you think! And here's wishing you a day filled with sunshine and pi!
