Cheesecake...silky salted homemade caramel and toffee bits....does it get any better than this? Sliced sweet rose-hued honeycrisp apples or tart green granny smith apples are fabulous on their own, but dip them into this decadent fruit dip and they are sublime! I usually serve this with Stacy's Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips as well for some nice variety. You may want to save yourself some time and trouble, and make EVERYONE happy by just making a double batch of this the first time! The salted caramel sauce is so easy to make up fresh, and really adds a wonderful flavor, but if you are running out of time, you can always substitute your favorite Salted Caramel syrup or sauce as a shortcut. For a autumn party or football game, you can serve this in a hollowed-out fresh pumpkin. Everyone was begging for me to post this recipe right away, so I know it was a hit! I also know that there wasn't a single scoopful left - SUCCESS! Next up is to try this as a filling for Brownie Bites - sounds pretty good, don't you think?
