 Every time I make these Caramel Pecan Monkey Bread rolls, my family goes NUTS, and I always wonder why I don't make them more often - they are one of the easiest, quickest recipes out there, and ALWAYS a big hit! Through the years I have perfected the smooth and creamy caramel sauce to our liking. When I have the time, I still like to make traditional Caramel Monkey Bread - the homemade dough really sets it apart....but for those times when you are in a hurry, this is the perfect short-cut recipe to feed and impress a crowd with!  I don't know how your kids are, but half of mine LOVE pecans, and the other half don't want to go near them. I really load these up with pecans - and leaving them whole rather than chopping them up, they are easy to take off the top for those that aren't interested. Are they NUTS or what? You could also make a "half and half" to keep things even more simple.  I'm off with my wonderful son to the annual Mother-Son Camp with the Boy Scouts this weekend, and thought it was time to post this recipe so that the girls and Skipper can survive without me for a few days. It will be an interesting weekend, as us Moms have been told that our sons will be preparing, serving and cleaning up after all of our meals. [smile] I'm pretty sure that there won't be any left when we get home on Sunday!  Right now I'm trying to figure out a way that we can make these over a campfire...
