I love barbeque flavor! If you like barbeque potato chips, you will love these tender, buttery, creamy red potatoes. When we camp, I make these with a simple barbeque seasoning and cook in our trusty camp skillet or foil packets. After a long day of white water rafting or hiking activity, these are easy and delicious to make, and everyone just gobbles them up! As wonderful as these are for a campfire supper, they also make a delicious and different side dish at home. These are really wonderful with ham - I know, it sounds like a crazy combination, but they are really a nice change from the mashed or au gratin potatoes that are usually served with ham. And for camping, ham makes a great starter meal. Leftover ham from your campfire dinner can be used for ham & cheese farmer casserole in the morning, or ham sandwiches for lunch. I'm not kidding when I tell you there are never ANY leftovers when I make these!
