 Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon When I first made these for my family years ago, my sweet husband's eyes glazed over and he was totally NOT going to enjoy the experience - until he actually tasted these! Bacon, onion and garlic boosts the delicate flavor, and roasting brings out the natural sweetness of these easy-to-prepare Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. Drizzled with a delicate balsamic glaze, these may be the most perfect vegetable ever!  Trim the end, peel off the outer leaves, quick rinse & pat dry - and cut sprout in half, lengthwise. If you have ever been afraid of Brussels Sprouts - be brave! These aren't even related to the pale, mush and over-boiled bulbs you may have been forced to eat as a child. I do have faint recollections of peeling these apart, leaf by leaf, and thinking I was gonna DIE when my Mom made Brussels Sprouts when I was a kid - but my kiddos gobble these up faster than french fries! The bacon, garlic and onions roast just as the Brussels sprouts do, and everything will be nice and crispy by the end of cooking time. Roast until the edges turn golden brown and crispy, and then sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese. YUM! I've provided cooking school directions for both roasting and stove top preparation. These are also easy to prepare on your grill if you have a nice grill pan and want a little smokey flavor! If you prefer your sprouts with simple seasoning, you can certainly leave out the bacon or garlic - but why not live on the edge? Hope you enjoy these as much as we do!
