When I was growing up, Pizza Burgers were always a favorite lunch for every kid in the school - the one day that everyone ate a hot lunch and brought money for extras!
I grew up in the 60's and 70's and attended Robbinsdale, MN public schools (School District #281). You can ask anyone from that area that grew up in those days, and everyone will agree that one of our favorite lunches were the Pizza Burgers.  Spaghetti Sauce (VandenPlas Family Recipe) Funny how a family can have two favorite spaghetti sauce recipes! This is the famous VandenPlas Family Spaghetti Sauce recipe - VERY mild and delicious!
Without a lot of traditional Italian seasoning ingredients, I have never called this an Italian Spaghetti Sauce, but it is very good and a favorite of the family and those that don't care for a really spicy sauce. If Skipper is making the sauce, this is the recipe that he uses and loves. Family tradition is that anyone that finds a whole clove in their sauce has to do the dishes that night. Family fun!
