These are so easy to make ahead of time, and the flavors meld together so perfectly - the brisket and bacon, combined with the savory sauciness of the molasses and brown sugar as these slow cook for hours - perfection in baked beans!
On occasion, I will add one small 8 oz. can of crushed pineapple (in natural juice) to the pot. WONDERFUL!
Another quick idea is to add one small can of French fried onions, which have been crushed. Just dump ‘em in. Again, these add another level of flavor and texture to these beans.
Baked Beans can easily be made a day ahead of your barbeque. They taste even better the next day!
