I used to buy Dave's Gourmet Roasted Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce, but last year I was able to re-create the recipe from scratch at home, and it is so easy and flavorful when you make this with fresh ingredients!
It's perfect on fresh Grilled Chicken & Mozzarella ravioli, fresh Spinach & Mozzarella ravioli, and Butternut Squash Ravioli.
Fresh ingredients, fresh sauce, fresh basil, and a healthy shake of pine nuts on top, and dinner is served!
I'm scrambling to use as much of my fresh basil as I can before the season is over, and it is the perfect addition to this sauce.
We prefer a heartier sauce that your typical butternut squash pasta sauce, and roasting the butternut squash and red peppers gives it layers of flavor and color!
Even the little ones at our house gobble this stuff up....so tender and flavorful!
