Happy National Caramel Day! Who knew that was even a thing? We were busy this weekend making this special treat to celebrate today - and after teasing you with the photos, it's time to share the prize!
Now, if you don't like chocolate and caramel, you can just move along. This is serious business! And as our littlest one says, "Can I have some more of that Tiger Tart?" And dang it, when you look at it that way, it does kinda look like a tiger!
What's not to love with a perfect chocolate cookie crust layered with thick, homemade salted caramel? Topped with the most perfect milk-chocolate mousse that absolutely MELTS in your mouth! And finally drizzled with more homemade salted caramel sauce and chocolate ganache...it DOES kinda look like a tiger!
If you love Milky Way candy bars, you will LOVE this little treat! And if you are a fan of French Silk Pie, the addition of salty caramel sauce sends this to the next level.
Very easy to make the day before you plan to serve - simply pull it out of the freezer 30 to 60 minutes before you want to share. I'm not gonna lie, this is a rich and fancy little treat. You can easily serve 16, so it's perfect for a large group. And if you're looking to impress, let me introduce you to Milky Way Tart!
I think this is a pretty solid addition to celebrate newly discovered National Caramel Day - you'll have to let me know if you agree! Enjoy!
