Simple ingredients that we almost always have on hand. I can throw all of the makings in a cooler, or assemble ahead of time and only have to heat them up when we are ready to eat. You can heat them up over a campfire, in the oven, or even a toaster oven. My brother Tom makes these on larger buns, wraps each sandwich individually in foil, loads them into a heavy paper grocery bag, gives the outside of the paper bag a quick rinse with cold water, and heats the entire bag up in the oven for a crowd. Ready in less than 20 minutes! Slather the Hawaiian dinner rolls with a dressing made of mayo or Miracle Whip blended with some zesty mustard, and layer Swiss cheese, turkey, ham, and more Swiss cheese. The buttery savory sauce on the top really makes these sandwiches so good! With just a hint of onion, poppy seed and Worcestershire sauce, these are just a little bit messy to eat, but oh so good... And for that Hawaiian Slider, add a slice of pineapple to the stack - OH SO GOOD! We've been enjoying these delicious sandwiches at home, when camping, and at parties for dozens of years now, but invariably someone always asks me for the recipe! Hope that you enjoy as much as we do!
