When my little ones were toddlers, one of their favorite books was JAMBERRY, by Bruce Degen. And with six little ones, I lost track of how many times we ready this before bedtime!
Another favorite is PURPLE DELICIOUS BLACKBERRY JAM, by Lisa Westberg Peters.
So now is just the perfect time to grab your little ones, some pails, and go pick some fresh blackberries! Or go to the local farmers' market and pick up some really fresh, sweet blackberries - and make yourself some homemade Blackberry Jam!
I use it as a base for my Blackberry Hoisin Ginger Sauce & Glaze, and also for a special little treat I'll be sharing with you tomorrow. And this slightly sweet, perfectly fresh jam is wonderful on warm toast or on fresh croissants. Heaven!
