So I'm that crazy mama that makes a LOT of cheesecake...summer, fall, winter. Fluffy mousse, creamy baked...chocolate, caramel drizzled, fresh fruit filled...and I'm always on the lookout for something new. This tropical flower, combined with perfectly ripe and sweet strawberries, creates a flavor that is sooooooo fruity, ruby-red and fragrant that it will take your breath away!
You could stop right here, but we're going to keep going. We're going to add even more strawberry and hibiscus flavor with a wonderful homemade Strawberry Hibiscus Sauce. Totally optional, but once you've tried this, you'll see why it is the base for my wonderful Strawberry Hibiscus Jam. And it tastes pretty darn wonderful drizzled over a slice of this cheesecake.
If you've ever tried Strawberry Hibiscus Tea you know how wonderful the combination is. And if you've never tried Strawberry Hibiscus Tea before, it may become your new favorite! It's hard to describe - the fragrance and flavor of the concentrated hibiscus tea just adds a nice base of flavor to the fresh ripe strawberries, and not many people will know what exactly is giving this that indescribable pop of flavor to your fresh strawberry sauce. It will be our little secret!
It was no different with this Strawberry & Hibiscus Mousse Cheesecake. We shared a couple of pieces with our wonderful new neighbors, and I'm still getting smiles and hugs!
Enjoy this in the last days of summer with your family and friends!
